Our building remains closed to the public. Please continue to contact us via 01362 693821 or email Messages can be left on the answerphone and will be responded to during normal office hours (8:30am - 4:30pm).

The twice weekly market will continue to run throughout the second lockdown, with limited stalls attending. Please see our Facebook page for updates. When visiting the market please ensure you follow the Government advice on social distancing - this includes when queuing.

Allotments remain open. Again we would ask that people please follow social distancing advice. 

For the safety of our volunteer drivers and passengers the Community Car Scheme remains temporarily closed. If you require assistance for an essential medical journey, please contact us and we will try to help.

Dereham Memorial Hall will be closed from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December. The only event permitted to continue during this time will be Blood Donation sessions.

The Town Council

The Town Council is made up of 12 councillors who represent the town on various matters.  We are the third tier of local government after Norfolk County Council and Breckland District Council.


Full Council meetings are held at 7:30pm usually on the second Tuesday of the month at The Assembly Rooms.  The public is very welcome to attend our meetings.
