Committees: Plans, Markets & Buildings, Social & Welfare
I have spent most of my working life helping people where I can. I previously served as a Metropolitan Police Sergeant, where fairness, service and standing up for others were central to my work. Beyond policing, I volunteer at HM Prison Wayland. Between 2000 and 2008 my wife Sheila and I worked in Latvia with vulnerable street children, and we continue to serve the local community as members of Dereham Baptist Church. As CEO of SME Alliance, I am a justice advocate within Parliament and, as a stakeholder in two national redress schemes, I represent UK small and medium-sized businesses who are victims of serious banking injustices. Whether locally or nationally, my focus has always been on listening, offering practical help and giving a voice to those who might otherwise not be heard.
